PURPOSE

We established T10 Capital to assist Hi Tech companies locating to Canada.
Many Hi Tech Entrepreneurs need to be in a location which offers both protection for their
intellectual property, but also access to global markets.
Our purpose is to assist these entrepreneurs in setting up operations in Canada.

WHY CANADA

Canada is a country that offers a number of advantages to hi-tech companies, that are unrivalled in the world.

RULE OF LAW

Canada’s rule of law is globally renowned in its adherence to fairness and completely lacking in corruption. This assures Hi-Tech companies that the value of their IP will be protected. Unlike the USA, all judges in Canada are independently appointed, and are overseen by an independent authority. There are no elections of judges, and all rulings can be appealed to a higher court.

Establishing a company in Canada, is among the easiest places in the world to do so. It can be done is as little as one hour, and does not require any status or even visiting Canada to do so.

Legal costs are competitive, and are generally lower than the USA. This is particularly true regarding litigation costs - which are usually lower in Canada.

TAXATION

Canada has been ahead of most countries is reducing the tax burdens for corporations. It continues to look for ways of reducing the overall tax costs for Hi-Tech companies.

Through its taxation program, Scientific Research and Experimental Development Tax Credits, it is possible to recover the majority of expenditures back in refundable tax credits.

This program is an entitlement program, and is not discretionary on changes to policy, maximum limits, or government priorities.

TRADE

Canada is unique in the world, in being open to trade globally. We have a long standing trade agreement with the USA and Mexico (NAFTA soon to be changed to USMCA). We also have a recently signed and ratified trade agreement with Europe (CETA), and a major agreement with many Asian countries (Trans Pacific Partnership).

These agreements allow Canadian companies unrivalled access to global markets.

Other trade agreements are being worked upon, to give Canadian companies even more tariff free access.

Canada has no restrictions on information flows. For those companies who need unlimited access to the internet, Canada is the place to be.

MOBILITY

Canada values Hi Tech ventures, and makes mobility to Canada easier than most other developed countries, for both owners and key staff.

FINANCE

Canada has the most stable banking and insurance industry in the world. Together with our large capital markets. Canadian based companies have access to large amounts of capital, without any government imposed limitations or restrictions.

LABOUR

Canada has among the most educated work force in the world.

Many major companies, such as Microsoft and Apple, have set up large operations in Canada, to take advantage of the Canadian labour market, as well as the ease of moving key staff from around the world to its offices in Canada.

COSTS

KPMG measure global competitiveness every two years. In each Survey, Canada comes out as one of the lowest cost developed countries to locate to.

With the addition of Mexico, Canada is ranked second - but has clear advantages over Mexico, with regards to rule of law, access to labour, English, etc. It is difficult to find a more cost effective location in the developed world, to establish a business.

ENGLISH & OTHER LANGUAGES

The language of international commerce is English - which is spoken by the vast majority of residences in Canada.

This makes working in Canada much easier than most other countries, where English is often the second or third language of business.

In addition, as a truly multicultural society, Canada has many residences who can communicate in any language.
